Ruisseau Créole (Rivière Noire)

Opening hours: Monday-Saturday 9.30am-6pm · Sundays and public holidays, hours vary by shop

What you’ll find: Jewellery, local and international crafts, fashion, swimwear, home décor, several restaurants (Le Kiosk, Bodega La Plancha, Medium Rare Steak House), a bank with a 24-hour ATM

Did you know?

Unlike the big enclosed, air-conditioned malls, Ruisseau Créole is explored by strolling along open-air pedestrian lanes, with an uninterrupted view of La Tourelle mountain. Around forty shops (Oceano Pearls, Macumba, Out of Africa…) and a fine dining scene (steakhouse, sushi bar, French delicatessen) make it a particularly peaceful shopping destination, far from the crowds of the big malls.
