Cookie policy

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when you visit a website. It can be used, among other things, to make certain site features work or to measure the site's audience.

Cookies used on Moris Guide

The site itself sets two categories of cookies: a cookie strictly necessary for it to function, set without consent, and audience-measurement cookies, set only if you accept them. Embedded Google Maps are Google's responsibility (see “Third-party content” below).

The site does not set any advertising cookies.

The table below shows, for each cookie:

  • the name of each cookie,
  • its purpose,
  • its retention period,
  • the entity that sets it (Moris Guide or a third party).

Third-party content

The Google Maps embedded in place listings are provided by Google, which may set its own cookies as soon as the page is displayed, under its own rules (policies.google.com/technologies/cookies). Moris Guide does not control these cookies. You can block them from your browser settings (third-party cookies).

Your choice

On your first visit, a banner invites you to accept or refuse audience measurement. Refusing is as simple as accepting, and the site remains fully usable. Your choice is kept for 6 months, after which the banner is shown to you again. You can change it at any time via the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page.

Managing cookies from your browser

You can configure your browser at any time to accept, refuse or be notified before cookies are set. Each browser has its own settings, usually available from its “Settings” or “Privacy” menu.
